Assessments & Screening
We specialize in personalized, in-depth adult assessments for autism, ADHD, giftedness and mental health. Our approach to assessment is collaborative, flexible and neurodiversity-affirming. We rely more heavily than most on interviewing in order to honour the depth and complexity of your unique life experiences and take into account high-masking, multiply-neurodivergent, complex and other less common presentations. Our assessment and screening services are available in-person in Toronto and virtually across Ontario.
We are committed to offering care that is neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ and ENM-affirming, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, sex-positive, and kink-positive.

Comprehensive Neurodiversity Assessment
Explores: neurodiversity, mental health and wellness, personality, executive functioning, sensory profile and functional impacts
Our in-depth neurodiversity-affirming assessments aim to help you make sense of your life experiences through the lens of neurodivergence, while establishing whether you meet criteria for a diagnosis of autism, ADHD and/or related conditions. We will also assesses for and diagnose co-occuring mental health conditions such as mood disorders, OCD, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, personality diagnoses and more as part of this comprehensive neurodiversity assessment.
Because neurodivergence is complex and many individuals have overlapping experiences consistent with more than one conditions, we prefer to assess for these together, rather than looking for one diagnosis in isolation.
Our assessment package includes up to 12 face-to-face session hours (typically 7-8).
Package Rate: $3000 with a practicum-level trainee, or $4410 with Lojain Hamwi (+ $75 fee applies for IQ testing)
Other Psychological Assessments
Dr. Melodie Lemay-Gaulin and clinical psychology trainees under supervision also offer personalized psychological assessments that aim to clarify a specific diagnosis and aid in treatment planning. These are intended for clients not seeking assessment for neurodivergence.
For example, professionals like social workers, psychotherapists or family physicians may refer a person for a targeted psychological assessment if they suspect the person might have an anxiety, mood, trauma-related, or other diagnosis that impacts their treatment plan.
Neurodivergent individuals also sometimes reach out for this type of assessment to help understand their struggles, receive a diagnosis for a co-occurring mental health condition, or to get recommendations for support and accommodations.
These assessments are priced on an hourly basis including face-to-face interviewing and testing time, scoring and interpretation of tests and questionnaires, documentation review, and report- or letter-writing. This is to ensure that cost is proportional to the complexity of the assessment.
Hourly Rate: $245-$300
ADHD and/or Autism Screening
Those who are not ready to commit to, or who do not want, a full assessment may like to consider a screening. Screening aims to explore the likelihood that their profile might be consistent with ADHD and/or autism. The process can help you discern whether a full assessment is recommended or not.
Screening sessions are offered by our skilled psychotherapists, Hannah and Mariana, who were specially trained and mentored by Dr. Melodie Lemay-Gaulin. A screening includes questionnaires and 2 hours of interviewing to help you understand clinical criteria for autism or ADHD, and understand how your experiences align with these. Psychotherapists offering screenings consult with our clinical psychologist on each screening case.
Rate: $440 for an ADHD screening; $440 for an autism screening
